Dear York Catholic District School Board Community,
I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express how delighted I am to return to the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) as Interim Director of Education.
My career started as a teacher at St. Margaret Mary CES in Woodbridge, Ontario. Over time, I was blessed to serve the YCDSB as a Principal and Superintendent of Education. While opportunities have taken me to Catholic school boards across the province, the YCDSB has always been my home.
I have always loved the YCDSB’s focus on faith and family. Being a husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law is most important to me. I know your family is most important to you, and I will never forget that as I make decisions for this board.
The YCDSB is the best school board in Ontario, and I am excited to use what I learned in publicly-funded Catholic education and in many community-based organizations to help our board continue moving forward in an ever-changing world.
I am honoured to serve alongside dedicated staff, students and parents to foster nurturing, faith-filled schools. Let us continue to uphold the values that make our Catholic education exceptional and recognize that, as a community, we are called to be a light for the world.
